the end of another year

As this year comes to an end I can't help but to reminisce over the good times. Wishing I could go back and relive them all over again. Ahhhh. Here are all the good times of 2008 on sumner ave.

1. Our first son, Jack was born. (Jan. 31st)
2. I threw Tim a successful "surprise you're 28!" birthday party.
3. Watching the Daffodil Parade from my front yard.
4. Laying in bed all day on Mother's Day (ok, more like half of the day).
5. Celebrating three blissful years married to Tim. (June 4th)
6. Operating a yard sale in probably some of the most toasty days of the summer.
7. Fourth of July down at the Ocean.
8. Lily's 2nd birthday.
9. Super Saturday. Our church's summertime carnival-like festival.
10. Planning, baking, and tasting cupcakes with my sister Amy.
11. Sharing a birthday lunch with my BF Danielle.
12. Trick-or-treating with my little leopard and chicken.
13. Thanksgiving dinner with family.
14. Walking downtown to watch the bridge lighting.
15. Visiting with friends and going to see Brandi Carlile in Seattle.
16. All of the hometown celebrations downtown.
17. The anticipation of snow and watching as it falls on our neighborhood.
18. All of the "sister nights". When my 3 sisters and I go out on the town.
19. Watching Tim in our Church Christmas play. (They worked so hard on it. It turned out really well!)
20. Family time.
21. Christmas Eve.
22. Christmas Day.
23. Wiping off little sticky fingers and hands.
24. First smiles, laughs, giggles, words, and steps.
25. Reading books to little eyes and eager minds.

26. And many more happy 2008 memories I have yet to reminisce over.

Thanks be to the Lord, for he has provided such a wonderful year. I'm inspired by his awesomeness! Eagerly anticipating more triumphs and challenges as he unveils another year for us. Here's to 2009, a year full of love and laughter!

Happy Birthday Kyler!

Yesterday was my niece Kyler's 12th birthday. I cannot believe she is twelve and in middle school already. I remember volunteering in her first grade classroom like it was yesterday. Oh, how the days have gone by! And in the days that past, what times we've enjoyed; some happy some sad. Here are a few glimpses of times past in the life of Kyler.
1. When my sister Amy was due to have her second child Kyler was very excited, mostly due to the fact that she believed Amy was having a sister for her to play with. Much to her dismay, they welcomed a little boy Corbin into their family. "but where's my baby sister?" is all Kyler could say.
2. Another favorite memory of mine happened around her second birthday (I think). The Disney movie Tarzan had just come out and she had memorized most of the words to You'll be in my heart. I can still see that little girl sitting at her kitchen table with golden brown ringlets singing this song. So precious!

3. Last and possibly my favorite happened at one of my bridal showers. I unwrapped a beautiful jewelry box, handmade by Kyler. That pretty much describes Kyler for me. She's sweet, thoughtful, and always so creative! She's constantly making great things and crafts for the people she loves. We love you Kyler! Happy Birthday!

Cristmas Pix & New Adventures

Well, our new Christmas pictures are in. I have to say I'm impressed with the way they came out. I was a little discouraged with the past picture conundrums. Need I remind you of the great pumpkin farm disaster of 2008? Alright it wasn't that bad, but close:) So, I am pleasantly surprised with our Tree Farm 2008 pix. Here they are, enjoy!

Jack at his best.

Lily amongst the trees.

The fam close up.

A little family portrait in the forest.

On a different note, I wanted to announce I have started yet another business adventure. Yesterday, I signed up with Scentsy under my sister Amy. For those who don't know what Scentsy is, they offer an awesome array of scented wax, warmers, plug-in warmers, car candles, and room sprays. I love it! That is why it was so easy to make the decision to represent Scentsy. Please check out my website below or under my Good Reads List.
Merry Christmas!

Deck the Halls!

Yesterday, after much deliberation, we went to a tree farm to purchase a real live tree. Originally we were going to put up an artificial tree, however, I just love the whole tradition of going out and cutting down your own tree. Plus, who can't resist that fresh cut Christmas tree smell? I know I can't. I'm planning on hauling out all of our decorations today. I seem to be surprised every year we bring them out. There is always something I forgot we had and I get to relive that excitement of getting something new all over again. This must be what people with memory problems feel like.

Tim and I were fortunate enough to escape this madness for a moment in time. Last night we went up to Seattle to see Brandi Carlile. First we met our friends Richard and April who live up in Lakeland Hills. We carpooled with them to Anthony's Restaurant. Where we met another good friend of ours, Jason. We enjoyed wonderful food and company. After dinner we went to Benaroya Hall to see Brandi with the Seattle Symphony. Tim and I have been fans of Brandi's for some time now, but this was our first concert of hers. Let me tell you, we were blown away! It was awesome. I can't believe how much better she is live, not to mention with the Seattle Symphony behind her. Thanks Jason for scoring us the tickets.

All in all we enjoyed a lovely extended weekend. So sorry to see it end. Well, time to deck the halls with boughs of holly.

Happy Birthday Mother! A Day belated.

Whenever I hear a Bette Midler song it brings me back to my childhood. The days of riding in my mother's car on the way to our cabin at the beach in late August (when the summer really started). My sister Sally, my mother, and I would sing "under the boardwalk" with the windows rolled down, feeling that warm ocean air brush against our faces. Or even exercising with my mother at "the club" (this is what we called the gym at our house). The very first time I listened to this actual song was there in the locker room. I was brushing my hair after a swim and my mother turned to us girls (my three sisters and I) and said, " I love this new song by Bette Midler" and we sat there listening and singing along. I would come to hear that song many times as my mother enjoyed it. That is just a glimpse of how my mother influenced my life and the way I mother my children now. I look back and think how wonderful a childhood I had! This is due a great deal to my mother (and father, but it's not his birthday so sorry dad). I wouldn't give anything to change it one bit. She was and still is such a warm and caring mother, thanks mom. Happy Birthday!

Love Always your daughter,

Katie Anne

Sex Changes, Naughty Two Year Olds, and Juicing

My last post stated that we had two brothers (kittens) Edgar and Po. Well after publishing that post, I took them to the Vet. for their first shots and was surprised to hear that Po is a girl. So apparently we have a brother and sister. I know this totally throws your world upside down, but try and relax everything will be ok.
I don't know what was with Lily this last Friday, but whatever it was I'm glad to see she's back to her original self. It all started when I put her down for her afternoon nap. Well, apparently she was not tired enough to just lay there and sleep. This is not abnormal usually she plays a bit and then goes back to bed for her nap. However, on Friday she decided to use the little potty I have in her room to go Number 2. I am ok and pleased with the fact she knows to get up and use it, what I'm not pleased with is that she doesn't do such a great job with the clean up and wiping of herself. So, when I went back up to check on her, I found what should have been wiped and put in the potty everywhere! I cleaned and disinfected everything, changed her, and put her back down. 15 min. later I noticed she hadn't gone to sleep yet so upstairs I went. This time I found all of her picture frames (pictures inside) along with some choice stuffed animals in the fish tank. Lovely. After cleaning all of that up and trying to save any pictures I can, I decided to just lay her on the couch down stairs and put on a movie, hoping she'd fall asleep that way. I left the room for probably two min. max and returned to her coloring with a Sharpie on pretty much anything she could get her little hands on. I just don't know how she could have done all that in the time given. As soon as I left the room she must have found the Sharpie, ran over to the computer, grabbed paper from the printer drawn quite the intricate picture, drawn a quick doodle on the couch, given herself a beautiful face painting, and finished with a circular picture on a toy. And all of that in just minutes. This just confirms the fact that she really is fast. I probably should be more upset, but I'm kind of impressed. I just hope this is not a glimpse of whats to come.

I finally received my Jack La Lanne juicer I've been waiting for. I absolutely love it! I can't think of any other way to say it other then, I'm hooked on the juice! I love a little (ok a lot) of fresh juice in the morning to wake me up and give me that energy I need. My current favorite combo is Carrot/Apple/Grape. Yum, yum, yum, deliciouso! Yep took that from Dora the Explorer, jealous?

With this cooler weather and holiday season approaching, I find myself lighting a fire in our fireplace more often. I just love a warm fire burning at home. I also love the idea that it saves us on our energy bill as well. All in all it's a win, win, win. I think I may just put up our Christmas tree and decor before Thanksgiving. Well, ok that may be a little too ambitious, but I am going to try and phase out the fall while bringing in the Christmas. I just can't wait. I don't know what it is this year, but I'm really feeling the Christmas Spirit early. Maybe it's the Peppermint Americano I've taken a fancy to.

Oh Brothers Edgar and Po!

With all of the pure craziness that goes on here from day to day, we have decided to add a little more to our lives. Enter Edgar and Po. We picked up these two brothers and we've been completely smitten by these kittens from day one. I know, kind of cheesy, but I had to do it. Any who they keep us happy and fill our lives with constant humor.

I'm in the process of painting Lily's big girl bed, with help from Janet (my mother-in-law) and Christine (sister-in-law). So far, they've done the majority of the work. Thanks girls! I am really looking forward to the end result. Good bye crib!

Jack is growing sooo fast! He is starting to take the beginning "zombie steps" . If you've ever seen a baby take their first steps, you know what I'm talking about. For those unfortunate few, it's pretty self explanatory.

Last Sat. we had our Christmas Tree Farm pictures taken. We were blessed with wonderful weather and good spirits. The children, Tim, and I all put our best duds on and headed out to the farm. I was a little nervous considering the last time we did this. Our previous picture outing was at Marris Farms for our pumpkin pictures. It was just not a good picture day for any of us. Except Tim. That man never takes a bad picture! Argh, annoying:) So, I was rocking a new haircut still not sure how to style, Lily decided she would not be photographed, and Jack just wanted to get down and put his mouth all over the pumpkins. Needles to say we only purchased a few pix of the children and Tim. So, as we were taking these new Christmas pix the photographer kept telling us things like, "ooh, awesome shot!", "good one!", and "perfect!" I felt myself thinking, does he tell this to everyone and did he say these same empty complements last time? Not sure, he seemed very convincing, unless I'm just hopeful and wanted to believe:) Oh well, time will tell. We should be getting our proofs emailed to us by the end of the day today. Scary...

Don't Blink

I love this song! It really speaks to me and continually reminds me of how fast and fragile our life here on earth is. It's so true. It takes me back to being a child and believing in all things good and imagining the world at my fingertips. What happens between then and now? I don't know. Somehow we loose that excitement and wonder of life. So take a deep breath, think back to more simple times, and revel in imaginary friends, dreams, and fairy tales. We really only have one life! Enjoy it! I know how easy it is to get caught up in everything in our lives and forget about this great gift we have in each new day. Just remember, today is a new day. It's all yours to make and unfold anyway you chose. Go out and make it yours!

New Beginings In Bloom

I have just recently launched my new business adventure, In Bloom (http://www.sumnerinbloom.com/). I make candy and floral arrangements. I have been doing this for quite some time as gifts for friends and family. Now I hope to make a little money from my hobby. So, if you haven't heard from me in a while or I've seemed a little distant, this is why. My mind and, most of the time, my body have been busy with In Bloom. We'll see where this new adventure takes me. On another note I have been living with an unpleasant stink in my house for about four days now. It's the smell of death. Yes, death. A rotting mouse in one of our kitchen walls. And let me tell you, if you've never had this experience, thank your lucky stars, because it's disgusting! So to combat this awful aroma, I leave my windows open all day, turn off the heat, and try to spend most of my time up stairs in the kids' bedrooms. I just want to tear apart my whole kitchen and disinfect it. That would make me very happy. Unfortunately we cannot do that at this time, we will just have to wait it out. This past weekend we stayed at my parent's house to escape the stench. It was a nice breath of fresh air. Tomorrow I am expecting an order of odor absorbing bags specially designed for this sort of thing. It cannot come soon enough. I'm tired of living up stairs and gagging every time I have to come down to pee. Help me odor removing bags!

Yes, I've been tagged.

Well, it happened. I was reading my sister Amy's blog and she tagged me. So, now I am required to write 10 of Tim's favorite things. We'll see how I do. I should be pretty close. Here we go...

10. Kitty cats. Yep, my husband has a thing for those little furry felines. He had a cat growing up that lasted a long time. I think it died when he was in college. His parents have around five as we speak. Although, not on their own accord. They've mostly accumulated from Tim and Christine. I must admit they are cute when they're kittens, but then they grow up and stink!

9. Video Games. Games, games, games. What more can I say? Aside from Wii Sports, I don't care for them and try not to be around when he plays them. Did I mention I can't stand them?

8. Snuggling. He is a HUGE snuggler. I on the other hand don't care for it too much. We took a "Love Language" test a few months back and as it turned out his number one love language is... personal touch (mine, acts of service). So I've learned to accept it and embrace the snuggles.

7. Sleeping. If Tim could sleep all day long, he would. He told me yesterday, as he was justifying a soon to be snoozer, he hadn't had a nap yet today. I think I'll use that one next time he comes home from work and the kids are awry.

6. TV. A lot like sleeping, if he could do this all day he would. Come to think of it, he does some times. We do watch some shows together after the kids are asleep. Our current favorites, The Office, Pushing Daisies, & sometimes Dancing w/ The Stars although he wouldn't admit it.

5. Sports and poker (if you can call that a sport). He thoroughly enjoys most all sports, excluding the Seattle Mariners.

4. Meat. Like most men, Tim loves meat. Especially red meat. I'd say his overall favorites are Bacon, Rib Eye Steak, T-Bone, and my 7-bone roast. Yummy:)

3. Diet Pepsi or Coke Zero. The boy likes his caffeinated beverages. I think these are the most prevalent refreshments in his diet. I enjoy a nice cold regular Coke (or Dr. Pepper) every now and then, but Tim can really put 'em away.

2. Family. Tim absolutely LOVES his children and me too. I admit this is one of his best qualities. I know it is hard on him when he has to work long hours and doesn't see us all day, and sometimes night, long. He is a wonderful father and husband.

1. Our Lord and Savior. That is one of the first things that attracted me to Tim. He is active in our church and sooo knowledgeable in our belief.

That's it. I hope I covered it all. It may not be in the correct order, but I believe it all to be true. Now it's your turn. Yes, I am tagging you. If you are reading this and have yet to do it, consider yourself tagged!

Princesses at play

On Tuesday Lily had her cousin Ella over to play and then again on Thursday. Anyhow, on Tuesday about 3:05 in the afternoon I got a sparatic knock at my door. It was Ella "dressed to the nines" and ready for, as she called it, the ball. Or playing in the backyard with Lily. So, Lily threw on her yellow princess dresss and they were off. I was a little worried being as it was only around 60 degrees at best with a slight breeze. None the less the two sported those dresses through sand, slide, trike, and see-saw. And on Thursday, much of the same. What a pair. It's nice to see them playing and getting along well.

See ya punks!

Back Again

Hello All! It's been quite sometime since I've posted. Wow, almost a month! It all started when our computer went on the fritz and died. We are currently borrowing my sister Sally's older (not that old) college computer. We have been up and running for about a week or so. I don't know why I haven't written. I think I've just been procrastinating, I'm good at that. So, where to start...

Party goers. Lily's birthday.

Well, on the first Sat. of this month Lily had her 2nd birthday party. She really enjoyed herself, however, I think she was glad to see everyone leave and be alone playing with her new presents. She doesn't like all of the attention. Somewhat like me. We had a great turn out as well. Most of our friends and family came to celebrate another year with Lily. We also set up an old aquarium I had from college in Lily's room since she is sooooo into fish right now. So now she can watch the "shishies" all day long.
Lily and Jack in front of our new aquarium

Tim's been working like crazy. This is a good thing. Unfortunately I don't get to see him as much as I'd like. He works long hours during the week and some Saturdays. I sometimes feel like a single mother. I shouldn't complain, though, others have it worse. I'm just happy he has a job and is able to provide for his family.

Savannah at Lily's party, treat in hand :)

As for me, I haven't been doing too much. Just running the show. Tim and I got to escape from the children for one night to attend a surprise party for our friend Carrie's 30th b-day. Sally and her boyfriend Ryan watched Lily and Jack for us. Thanks guys. It was fun to get out and not worry about diaper changes and potty breaks. Tim really surprised me with his wonderful singing abilities with the karaoke they had at the party. It was great fun. The following night I had a bunco event to go to at my sister Amy's house. It was a bit of a formal event. You see, we wore old bride's maid or prom dresses. Well, most of us. There were a few downers (lame people who decided not to join in on the festivities). I wore one of Sally's dresses from a recent wedding she was in. Only problem I encountered was the zipping it up part. Apparently it was not made for a nursing mother, if you know what I mean. I got about half of it up then covered the rest with a sweater shawl, quite the perfect combo. All in all it was a great success. No winnings for me though :(

Lily and Jack in their halloween costumes for this year. Jack's a chicken and Lily's a lepard/jaguar.

Jack is doing well. He's getting closer and closer to walking. Yesterday he started walking around the furniture and from one piece to another. Growing too fast. :( He has four (almost five) teeth now. Two on the bottom and two on the top. It's amazing how fast time slips away now that there are two to chase after. I remember hearing those same words right after I had Lily, and still do every now and then, and thinking to myself "Yeah right, it seems like it is going so slow." I just wanted to sleep through the night. I don't know if it was because she was my first, but it seems like I wanted to rush through and experience all of her milestones right away. I was so anxious. Now I would love to go back and re-live it all slowly, taking it all in, knowing I'll never have her that small again. She is and will be always growing. Mind you, a little slower at it then my Jack, but still too fast for me. It really reminds you of how fleeting life can be and how important it is to slow down, relax, and enjoy this gift we have all been given, a new day. Take it in!
The birthday girl.

Happy Birthday my sweet little Lily

When I was younger I loved hearing the story from my parents of what happened on my birthday, and still do. I can hear my mother saying, periodically throughout the day, "Let's see... it was about this time when I was on my way to the hospital" or "Right about now, I called your father at work and told him to leave and meet me at the hospital." A birthday never goes by without my dad letting me know how things progressed from his point of view. I undoubtedly will get the story about the goings on after my birth and how it was more exciting then the previous two because the hospitals had lightened up and let the fathers come back to the nursery with the new babies and help with the bath and such. I love and look forward to each story every year. So I am carrying on this tradition with my children. This is for you Lily.

Lets see....it all started when I went to my last Dr. appointment with your father. It was late in the day I think it was the last appointment of the day. They took the usual weight and blood pressure. My blood pressure was and had been on the rise so we decided it would be a good idea to help progress things along by rupturing my membranes. We made an appointment to be induced as well(on your actual birthday too) , just in case nothing happened on its own. This was on Tuesday and you were born on Thursday. So, your dad and I left feeling excited and a little shocked that this momentous nine months was about to end. However, we had no idea how our lives would change and in as little as two days. It was early Thursday morning about 2 o'clock when I got up to use the restroom. I went to lay back in bed, coughed, and my water broke. It was a very odd sensation, we'll just leave it like that. I woke your father up and told him what had happened. He, not being a "rise and shine" kind of guy, sat straight up and with a very serious face looked at me and asked "what do we do now?". This did not surprise me much due to the fact that this very same man fell asleep in our birthing class. Although a little embarrassing, he was working hard long hours and we were lounging on some nice cushy floor mats with our pillows. Any how, I called the hospital and they asked if I was contracting (yes) and how far apart they were (about 7 min.). So they asked us to get our things together and come to the hospital, no rush. We rushed. I can still remember and do often picture in my mind the moment we got into our car. Your father and I looked at each other, he grabbed my hand, and with great endearment said "This is it" and we drove off. We arrived and were checked into our nice labor room at the hospital about 3am. Now, what surprised me was the fact that they never offered the wheel chair to me. I was in labor. Funny thing is, that when I went in with your brother (Jack), not in labor but being induced, they wheeled me right into my room. Oh well, I survived. So there, while laboring, we tried the ball, bath, but ended up laying in bed for most of it due to my still rising blood pressure. I had a few visitors ( I only allowed my sisters and mother) and of course your dad. Fourteen hours later it was time to push. Twenty-two minutes later the Dr. laid you on my chest. I could not believe you came out of me it was very surreal. So there we were, a family of three, for a while. I think I really enjoyed being at the hospital most with you. This was because you were the first. We had nobody at home to think about or rush back to. I had the most fun laying in bed and having people come in to cater to me. It had been quite a long time since I experienced that. After all, it was about a year since we moved out of my parents. There it is Lily, your birth story. I hope you look forward to hearing it every year. Happy 2nd Birthday! I love you.

Good Bye Oli. Hello Lucy.

This weekend we said goodbye to our temporary cat Oliver. My sister Sally picked him up yesterday. And let me tell you, the house has never been so quiet. What a relief not to hear meowing all of the time! It's like he wanted to be fed and let out of his create everyday! Just kidding Sal :) We loved having him here. Feel free to drop him off anytime. I know Lily would love her running mate back. That girl loves to run! And she's good at it too. I guess she would have to be after all of the running around the house she does. She told me the other day that she's fast. I love to hear her when she turns a corner and makes this "vshoo" sound, letting everybody in hearing distance know that she's too fast to make a corner silently. On Saturday Lily received her second haircut. Once again, my sister Amy snipped the back few hairs on her head in our attempt to move Lily's hairstyle from mullet to cute little bob. It's a never ending battle. Her hair seems to naturally gravitate to that oh so adorable mullet style. If only we lived in the hills of West Virginia.
Lily's hair cut, in action. She's very serious about her hair cuts.

We also went to my friend Carly's house for a birthday party on Sat. Lucy, Carly's hound dog, was turning two. It was fun to see Carly and her family. We don't get together as often as we should. We only live minutes apart and yet two people with college degrees and one with a masters (Carly not me) can not figure out how to fix this. I think, or like to believe, that we're just too busy. Any who, it was great fun. We enjoyed yummy adult drinks, badminton, volleyball, and my personal favorite, balls on a string. As always, Carly had a nice spread of food. For dinner she served individual pizzas that we put together and her friend Eric bar-b-qued. This was a big hit! All in all, it was a fun filled weekend. Looking forward to next weekend. We will be traveling down to Ocean Shores for the Labor Day festivities. And of course, Lily's 2nd birthday:) I'm praying for fun in the sun and as always, a safe trip.

No news is good news...right?

I haven't written yet this week due to the lack of events. Not much going on around here to report. Tim is still working regularly, thank God! Lily and Jack are growing like weeds. Well, Jack more then Lily. We weighed them the other day and Lily only has five pounds on her brother. I think he'll pass her up within six months. He's mastered crawling and has now moved on to pulling himself up on everything and standing. Occasionally he thinks it would be a good idea to let go and just start walking. That, however, does not go over too well. Never the less, he presses on. You have to love that baby ambition. If only I had a little of that throughout my day, what I could get done or let alone start. Speaking of things to do, I better get started.

Super Saturday! Sad Sunday.

This weekend was full of ups and downs. On Saturday we had a carnival-like event at our church. Tim and I helped out with the Bar-b-que. We were blessed with wonderful weather. Lily had a blast! What toddler doesn't enjoy large amounts of sugar, games to play and win every time, and music to dance to. This was Lily's run-down: Bounce house, snow cone, beanbag toss (win a toy), bounce house, bite of hot dog, bag of chips, face painting, tic-tac-toe (win candy), ring toss (win toy & candy), lucky wheel spin (you guessed it, more candy), followed by cotton candy, and then finally passing out on the car ride home. Priceless.
Lily getting her "shishy" fishy painted on her face
Averie and Lily enjoying chips on Saturday

Sunday was a little more subdued. We ended up selling our one year old Beagle to a nice family with a little boy. We enjoyed Mr. Hubert for a whole year. Since we bought him for Lily for her first birthday, it was only fitting he went to a little boy for his birthday. I think he will be much loved and get all of the attention he deserves. I am very pleased to see Hubert found a great home. Now we are cat sitting my sister Sally's cat, Oliver. Lily enjoys chasing after him and is completely baffled when he does not share the same enthusiasm towards her! It is very confusing to her. She is always asking "where he go?" After all, all she wants to do is wave his toy right in his face (this toy consists of a few little do-dads of fluff and sparkle on a wand) and, if she gets close enough, squeezing him around his neck, giving him an "ug". Now tell me, what cat doesn't enjoy that? On Sunday we also celebrated our niece Madyson's 7th birthday with another bar-b-que (good food!), cake, ice cream, and presents. It was a lot of fun, however, very hot and muggy feeling. Today we will try to get back to our original schedules and take pleasure in this cooler weather.

Summer Days

My friend Danielle sent me these pictures today. I thought they were pretty funny. We took them quite some time ago and I had forgotten about them. Danielle has a daughter, Averie, 4 months older then Lily and another daughter 7 weeks older then Jack. It's nice to have a friend with children so close.

Today was quite the hotsie-totsie day! It reminded me of those hot days in the summer when I was a kid and had nothing to do but lay around my parents house or out in the sunny backyard. When my biggest decision was whether to chose the orange or red popsicle. Usually I chose both. Oh, how I long for those days sometimes.

The kids and I spent most of our time today indoors. With such nice weather I usually like to take advantage of it, but somehow time escaped me. We did manage to travel to the Grocery Outlet for a few things and ran into my mother there:) I love living so close to my family. It's fun to bump into each other while out and about. That never happened when I was growing up.
